Rebecca Romijn (born in New York City) is an American actor and model popular as the actor of Mystique The main character from the first three episodes of X-Men. Romijn was also part of another Marvel film, 'The Punisher where she played the role of 'Joan'. Romijn began her career as a professional model, and was employed by companies like Christian Dior Sports Illustrated Victoria's Secret. The model spent the last decade working for major fashion houses, before quitting that field of work in order to pursue her acting career. Romijn was more successful in her TV career than in Hollywood. She portrayed "Alexis Mead" in the comedy-drama "Ugly Betty", and then played the character of "Jessie Nichols" in NTSF : SD: SUV. Other roles she has played include 'King & Maxwell' and The Librarians'. She also hosted the reality TV show Skin Wars about body painting as well as being a part of many other projects as well including video games.
