Srushti Dehmukh started preparing for UPSC when she was in her final stage of her engineer degree. She was unsure if engineering is an appropriate career path for her. Her dream became clearer when she shifted her focus to the civil work. The parents of her encouraged her to pursue civil service, and to pursue an employment in the public sector. Her motivation was to be an IAS officer and was focused on that goal. For UPSC to be achieved the hard work of a lifetime is necessary. When she was studying engineering courses she was also able to practice for the various areas of the UPSC. Every day, she set aside the time to study for exams. She completed her engineering examinations in only one-and-ahalf months and stayed away from social activities. She believes that focusing only on the work at hand is essential to pass the exam. She was very determined to succeed in this test and made a great number of efforts. Daily, she would read the newspaper to keep abreast of the latest news. Also, she got lots of support online by collecting studies materials and watching Rajya Sabha TV. IAS Srushti Deskmukh Book IAS Srushti Deskmukh wrote and published A book entitled The Answer Writing Manual. The book can be located at any library in the country. It is an excellent resource to IAS candidates who are preparing for the test. She and her husband share information on social media concerning their responsibilities.
